Le Monde Diplomatique – Shqip

As part of a network of thirty-one publication partners around the world, Le Monde Diplomatique in the Albanian language has started its’ first publication in print in September 2019. With a circulation of 1500 copies, the journal was distributed in the main cities of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania.
Second publication was in October 2019 ; Third was a November-December publication 2019 ; Fourth in January 2020 ; Fifth in February 2020 ; Sixth in March 2020 ; Seventh in April 2020; Eighth in May 2020.
From the beginning of this project, the Institute for Social Policy “Musine Kokalari” has established a partnership with the Institute of Social and Human Studies in Tirana, Albania, which is still the main partner in this project.
More than 140 articles of different genres have been drafted and published (research texts, reports, interviews, editorials, etc). Of these, more than 100 are translated texts and 40 are self-produced articles.
We covered topics from Kosovo, Albania, the Western Balkans, but also from around the globe : Homosexuality ; Geopolitics ; Diplomacy ; Trade relations ; E-commerce ; Covid-19 ; Education ; Health ; Religion ; Gender Issues ; Anti-racism ; Workers’ Rights ; Minority Rights ; Discrimination against the Roma Community ; Multilingualism ; Autocracy ; the Fight against Crime and Corruption ; Demography ; Ecology ; Urbanism ; Anti-fascism ; Media ; Philosophy ; Psychology ; Delinquency ; Cinematography ; Literature.
Geographically the topics have covered a wide range of issues from Senegal; Brazil; Sudan; Algeria; Russia; USA; Great Britain; Switzerland; France; Turkey; Canada; Argentina; Serbia; Albania; Macedonia; Kosovo; Bosnia; Croatia; South Africa; Oceania and Israel. Many “Le Monde Diplomatique – Albanian“ texts have been republished in local and regional media.
