About Us
Our Mission
“Musine Kokalari” Institute is an independent think tank in Kosovo that promotes democratic and social values through progressive policies. We aim to build a just, equal, and inclusive society that embraces diversity, strengthens social cohesion, and supports civic values shared by all.
Our work focuses on advancing women’s and workers’ rights, cultural identity, fair wealth distribution, good governance, human rights, environmental justice, and regional cooperation.
We believe these values align with broader European ideals and require collective regional efforts to address shared challenges.
Through conferences, research, and policy papers, we empower progressive organizations, unions, and civil society to amplify their voices and advocate for democratic change. We support a bottom-up approach and promote stronger regional networks for more effective and informed public discourse.
Our Vision
Kosovo’s transition should lead to a just and inclusive society, not serve as an end in itself. We focus on strengthening political citizenry and social equality by fostering civic engagement, challenging ethnic divisions, and addressing economic and social disparities. Through research, advocacy, and dialogue, we work toward a democratic society built on justice, solidarity, and equal opportunities for all.
