In this regard, the Institute for Social Policies “Musine Kokalari” announces a job vacancy for:
• One (1) financial officer who will be engaged full-time (09:00 AM – 5:00 PM) as part of the staff at the Institute for Social Policies “Musine Kokalari”.
• Two (2) research assistants who will be engaged full-time (09:00 AM – 5:00 PM) as part of the staff at the Institute for Social Policies “Musine Kokalari”.
POSITION: FINANCIAL OFFICER (1 POSITION, 100% FULL-TIME)
Workplace: Street B, Residio 5, Entrance B, No. 15-1, Ndërtuesi Dervisholli – 10 000, Prishtina – Republic of Kosovo
1. Job Responsibilities:
• Implements the Financial Manual of IPS MK;
• Prepares employment contracts for staff, external collaborators, interns, and volunteers;
• Prepares and reviews financial statements and other required reports;
• Conducts financial and budget planning;
• Performs detailed monitoring of monthly revenues and expenses;
• Monitors and verifies the recording of receipts and payments by account;
• Archives all financial documents in accordance with the regulations and this financial manual;
• Assists the Financial Director in the administration of IPS MK’s finances;
• Provides monthly reports to the Executive Director, donors, Tax Administration, and the Office for NGOs;
2. Required Qualifications:
• University degree from the Faculty of Economics – Department of Finance and Accounting;
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a financial officer;
• Knowledge of accounting software / QuickBooks;
• Skills in planning, budgeting, and analysis;
• Computer skills in MS Word and Excel;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English – mandatory;
• Ability to provide guidance and bring people together using strong interpersonal skills;
• Proven ability to work in a team, plan effectively, and solve problems.
• Certified accountant – an advantage;
• Work experience in NGOs or international organizations – an advantage;
• Other languages – an advantage;
POSITION: RESEARCH ASSISTANT (2 POSITIONS, 100% FULL-TIME)
1. Job Responsibilities:
• Good knowledge of the governance system and legislation related to the work of the Assembly of Kosovo
• Good knowledge of issues related to economic, social, and political matters;
• Excellent logistical, organizational, communication, and representation skills;
• Proven skills in research assistance;
• Skills in writing and drafting reports, statements, etc.
• Establish regular communication with officials of the Assembly Administration, staff of parliamentary groups, as well as partner organizations and institutions (both local and international);
• Monitoring parliamentary committee meetings and plenary sessions of the Assembly and preparing summary reports;
• Monitoring publications of specialized institutes (think tanks) and other local and international organizations and institutions.
• Assist the Project Coordinator in planning and managing daily tasks;
• Assist in preparing promotional and advocacy campaigns for the project;
• Drafting analytical reports for the public based on research findings and addressing specific recommendations related to these findings;
• Performing other tasks within the project, as instructed by the Project Coordinator.
2. Required Qualifications:
• Second-year student at the Faculty of Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or Law
• University degree from the Faculty of Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or Law.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a researcher;
• Computer skills in MS Word and Excel;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English – mandatory;
• Ability to provide guidance and bring people together using strong interpersonal skills;
• Proven ability to work in a team, plan effectively, and solve problems.
• Work experience in NGOs or international organizations – an advantage;
• Other languages – an advantage;
