Become Part of the Sixth Generation!
The Institute for Social Policy Musine Kokalari is pleased to announce the call for applications for the sixth edition of the Academy for Public and Social Policies, which will take place from 14 to 19 September 2026.
During six intensive days, participants will attend lectures, workshops, study visits and discussions with distinguished professors, researchers and experts from Kosovo, the region and across Europe.
What does the Academy offer?
The Academy combines theoretical lectures, practical training, interactive workshops, group discussions, study visits, as well as cultural and social activities focusing on the following themes:
- History, Nation, Statehood and Citizenship
- Political Ideologies and the Political Spectrum
- Equality and inclusion
- Environment and Social Justice
- The Economics of Well-being
- Public and Social Policy
The Academy’s Mission
The Academy aims to equip young people with knowledge, practical skills and progressive values by promoting social justice, gender equality, freedom of expression and religion, workers’ rights, anti-discrimination and active citizenship. Participants will gain the competencies needed to engage actively in public and political life.
Who can apply?
A total of 30 participants will be selected.
The Academy is also open to applicants who are not citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Applications from women and girls, as well as members of non-majority communities in Kosovo, are especially encouraged. Knowledge of English is considered an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be between 18 and 28 years old;
- Be currently studying or have graduated in political science, sociology, philosophy, economics, law, journalism or related fields;
- Demonstrate an interest in public, political and social issues, together with basic knowledge of these topics.
Required Application Documents
- Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- Motivation Letter.
Selection Process
Participants will be selected based on the evaluation of their CV and motivation letter.
Those who successfully complete the entire Academy programme will receive a certificate of completion.
Covered Expenses
The Institute for Social Policy Musine Kokalari will cover all participation costs, including:
- Travel expenses (within Kosovo);
- Meals and refreshments;
- Accommodation for participants from outside Prishtina;
- Simultaneous interpretation in Albanian and Serbian.
