Negotiators were present — some representing Serbia, others Kosovo. Two facilitators assisted in conducting the discussions, and in the end, a symbolic agreement was reached.
Over the course of two days, young Albanian and Serbian men and women from Kosovo, divided into two mixed delegations, debated, negotiated, and jointly built a simulation of the dialogue process for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
On the first day, the participants familiarized themselves with official documents and developed their negotiating positions and strategies.
On the second day, they engaged in bilateral and trilateral negotiations, which culminated in drafting a framework for an implementation agreement.
This workshop proved to be a valuable tool for:
• Promoting cooperation and understanding among potential policymakers
• Developing debating and negotiation skills
• Increasing sensitivity to different perspectives
• Addressing real and complex challenges
• Gaining a deeper understanding of the normalization process
• Creating concrete solutions within the context of the dialogue
The workshop was organized by the Institute for Social Policies “Musine Kokalari”
and New Social Initiative – Nova društvena inicijativa, as part of the project 𝐷𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑢𝑒, 𝑆𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠, 𝐹𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒, supported by the German Federal Foreign Ministry and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
