As part of the activity \u201cAdvocacy Sessions with Assembly Members and Political Parties\u201d<\/strong>, on October 7, 2025<\/strong>, in Mitrovica<\/strong>, the Musine Kokalari Institute for Social Policy<\/em> organized a workshop titled \u201cAdvocacy and Political Engagement.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The workshop brought together assembly candidates and members<\/strong> from Kosovo\u2019s political parties, as well as representatives from the Serbian and Bosniak communities<\/strong> of South and North Mitrovica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Lecturers included Fisnik Rexhepi<\/strong>, who presented the legal framework and the competencies of assembly members<\/strong>, and Senad Sabovic<\/strong>, who discussed the importance of communication with citizens<\/strong> and the use of social media during and after election campaigns<\/strong> to enhance public engagement.<\/p>\n\n

In addition to the lecture sessions, participants engaged in practical exercises and group discussions<\/strong>, where they exchanged experiences, analyzed concrete challenges related to representation and communication, and proposed more effective ways to engage with citizens<\/strong>. The activities focused on improving public communication skills<\/strong> and using digital tools<\/strong> to increase transparency and public trust.<\/p>\n\n

The goal of the workshop was to strengthen communication, empathy, and collaborative planning skills<\/strong> among assembly members and representatives of different ethnic groups.<\/p>\n\n

This activity was carried out within the framework of the project \u201cPromoting Political Dialogue on Interethnic and Social Cohesion,\u201d<\/strong> supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED)<\/strong> and implemented by the Musine Kokalari Institute for Social Policy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
