The Institute for Social Policy \"Musine Kokalari\" announces the call for applications for the fifth edition of the Academy for Public and Social Policy, which will be held from September 8 to 13, 2025.<\/span><\/pre>
\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n\nDuring this intensive week, participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops with renowned lecturers, researchers and experts from Kosovo, the Western Balkans and the European Union.<\/strong><\/p>\n\nWhat does the Academy offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n\nThe Academy's program combines theoretical lectures, practical training, interactive workshops, collective discussions, and cultural and social activities,<\/strong> on the topics:<\/span><\/pre><\/p>\n\n\n- History, Nation, Statehood and Citizenship<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Political Ideologies and the Political Spectrum<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Equality and inclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Evironment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Welfare Economics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Public and social policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
<\/p>\n\n
The purpose of the Academy<\/strong><\/p>\n\nThe Academy aims to educate and empower young people with progressive values<\/strong>, emphasizing the importance of social justice, gender equality, freedom of expression and belief, workers’ rights, anti-discrimination, and active citizenship<\/strong>. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to actively engage in the public and political sphere.<\/p>\n\nWho can apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n30 participants<\/strong> will be selected. Participation in the Musine Kokalari Academy 2025 is also open to applicants who are not citizens of the Republic of Kosovo<\/strong>. Applications from girls and women<\/strong>, as well as from non-majority communities<\/strong> in Kosovo, are particularly encouraged. Knowledge of the English language is an advantage.<\/p>\n\nApplication criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n- You are between the ages of 18-28<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
- You are studying or have graduated in one of the following fields: political science, sociology, philosophy, economics, law, journalism<\/strong>, or similar fields<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- You have basic knowledge and interest<\/strong> in public and political issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
<\/p>\n\n

Screening<\/strong><\/p>\n\nThe selection is done in two stages:<\/p>\n\n
\n- Evaluation of documents (CV and cover letter)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Interview with candidates selected in the first phase<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
Participants who attend the Academy in its entirety will be provided with a certificate<\/strong> upon successful completion of the program.<\/p>\n\nCovered expenses<\/strong><\/p>\n\nAll costs of participation in the Academy will be covered by the “Musine Kokalari” Institute, including:<\/p>\n\n
\n- Travel (within Kosovo)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Food and drinks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Accommodation for participants outside of Pristina<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Simultaneous translation into Albanian and Serbian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
