{"id":1926,"date":"2022-09-09T13:14:44","date_gmt":"2022-09-09T13:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musineinstitute.org\/?p=1926"},"modified":"2025-06-23T15:05:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T15:05:24","slug":"call-for-applicants-the-academy-for-public-and-social-policies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musineinstitute.org\/en\/call-for-applicants-the-academy-for-public-and-social-policies\/","title":{"rendered":"CALL FOR APPLICANTS &#8211; The Academy for Public and Social Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>CALL FOR APPLICANTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE ACADEMY FOR PUBLIC AND SOCIAL POLICIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SECOND GENERATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOVEMBER 14-18, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Institute for Social Policy \u201cMusine Kokalari\u201d publishes the open call for applications for the Academy for Public and Social Policies, which will be held at Sirius Hotel in Pristina (Kosovo) from November 14<sup>th<\/sup> to 18<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During one week, participants will have the opportunity to follow the modules by distinguished lecturers, researchers, specialists and pedagogues from France, Kosovo, Great Britain, Serbia, Albania, Denmark etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program of the Academy for Public and Social Policies embodies theoretical lectures and practical training, accompanied by collective discussions, workshops on certain topics, social and cultural activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Academy program contains modules on the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nation, nationalism, ethnicity, citizenship and citizenry<\/li><li>National myths and definitions of citizenship<\/li><li>Political ideologies<\/li><li>Equality and inclusion<\/li><li>Public, social and environmental policies<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The main purpose of the Academy is to educate young people with progressive ideas on social values, such as social justice, anti-discrimination, citizenry, freedom of expression, gender equality, anti-racism, workers&#8217; rights etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Academy for Public and Social Policies is supported by the &#8220;Olof Palme International Center&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All expenses related to the participation in the Academy will be covered by the Musine Kokalari Institute, including participants&#8217; travel expenses, translation into Albanian and Serbian, food and beverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The level of English language skills will be considered as an advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHO IS ELIGIBLE?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>30 participants will be selected. We encourage girls and women, as well as applicants from non-majority communities in Kosovo, to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Are 18-25 years old<\/li><li>Have basic knowledge in social sciences (including Politics, Sociology, Philosophy, Economy, Law, Journalism etc.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite you to submit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>CV<\/li><li>Motivation Letter<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>APPLICANT SELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The candidate selection process consists of two stages. During the first phase, a selection will be made based on the CV and Motivation Letter.
