Institute for Social Policy, Musine Kokalari on May 14, held an initial meeting at the Municipal Assembly of Prizren with the Chairperson of the Assembly and the heads of the assembly groups of the political parties represented in this municipality.<\/p>\n\n
The purpose of the meeting was to present the Institutional Grant supported by the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF), as well as the project component focused on cooperation with municipal assemblies in five municipalities of Kosovo. This component aims to establish thematic groups of assembly members focused on social policies and the improvement of social services at the local level.<\/p>\n\n
During the meeting, discussions focused on the need to strengthen the capacities of assembly members in the field of social policies, with a particular emphasis on newly elected assembly members and their role in overseeing, discussing, and advancing social services within the municipality.<\/p>\n\n
The Chairperson of the Municipal Assembly of Prizren, Simir Krasniqi, together with representatives of assembly groups from all political parties, positively assessed the objectives of the project and committed to close cooperation with the Institute throughout the three years of its implementation.<\/p>\n\n
In the next phases, the project will continue through joint meetings between citizens and assembly members, where local needs, challenges related to access and quality of social services, as well as concrete recommendations for improvement at the municipal level, will be discussed.<\/p>\n\n
This meeting marks the first step toward building a more structured cooperation between the Institute, municipal assemblies, assembly members, and citizens, with the aim of strengthening the role of the local level in addressing citizens\u2019 needs and improving social services.<\/p>\n\n
