The Musine Kokalari Academy for Public and Social Policy was held for the first time from September 27 to October 1, 2021 at Hotel Nartel (Prishtina)

- Adri Nurellari, political scientist from Albania
- Gëzim Krasniqi, political scientist from Kosovo and lecturer at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland)
- Filip Ballunović, political scientist from Serbia and research fellow at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade
- Dritan Dragusha, philosopher from Kosovo
- Agon Maliqi, political analyst from Kosovo and researcher of International Development Policies
- Meliza Krasniqi, researcher of Albanian literature from Kosovo specializing in the literary work of Musine Kokalari
- Gëzim Selaci, sociologist from Kosovo and lecturer at the University of Prishtina
- Ermira Danaj, researcher from Albania specializing in the fields of feminism and gender politics
- Artan Mustafa, researcher and university lecturer from Kosovo specializing in social policies
The programme
During the five days of the Academy, the following topics were addressed:
- Social History and Nation Building
- Nationalism, Statehood and Citizenship
- Political Ideologies and the Political Spectrum
- Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Religion and Secularism
- Feminism and Intersectionality Theory
- Public Policy, Trade Unionism and Workers’ Rights
The program was enriched with:
- Screenings of selected documentaries such as ‘Parrullat‘ as a cinematic reflection on totalitarian Albania, ‘Whose Is This Song?‘ on national identities in the Balkans, and ‘Behemoth‘ on ecological destruction and the social consequences of unbridled industrialization.
- Cultural and academic activities, including an exhibition of authentic documents by Musine Kokalari
